Richard F. 'Calhoun' Tourangeau, 82, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh. He was born on June 20, 1941, in Wakefield, RI to Stanley F. and Winifred (Lamberton) Tourangeau. He married the love of his life, Rita K. (Zigler) nearly 50 years ago on November 30, 1973.

Calhoun was employed with RCA in Bloomington with 33 years of service and after retiring he joined the Daviess County Highway Dept. for 8 years. He was a member and board member of Scotland Full Gospel Church where he spent time working for the Lord. He also enjoyed farming, raising and working his cattle.

Family left to cherish the memory of Calhoun includes his wife Rita, a daughter, Patty Cox of Odon, grandchildren, Racheal (Zach) Belfi, Nathan Cox, great-grandchildren Addyson, Revel and Alizah. Also survived by a brother R. Pete Tourangeau of Hemet, CA, sister Shirley Marshall of Federal Way, WA, sister-in-law Marilyn Tourangeau of IL., and several nieces and nephews.

Calhoun was preceded in death by, his parents; brother, Edward Tourangeau; sister Jean Couch and an infant sister.

Funeral services honoring Calhoun's life will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Karen Karns officiating. Calhoun be laid to rest at Raglesville Cemetery in Raglesville with Military honors.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9AM until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
