Rodney D. Harmon, 75, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed from this life, with family by his side, on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Countryside Meadows Nursing Home in Avon, Indiana. He was born on February 7, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana to John L. and Marylou (Flock) Harmon. Rodney married the love of his life, Jackie C. (Green) Harmon, on August 9, 1969.

Rodney was a supervisor for the National Gas Company in Dubois, Indiana, retiring in 2006 with 38 years of service. He also served as a Docent for the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum.

Family left to cherish the memory of Rodney include: his wife, Jackie C. Harmon; daughter, Amber Harmon of Indianapolis; brother, Lanny (Kelly) Harmon of Nashville, IN and sister, Shari Greene of Rockville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and son, Christian Todd Harmon (March 19, 2021).

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. Rodney will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
