Russell E. 'Russ' Perkins, 53, of Sandborn, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 as the result of a vehicle accident. He was born on July 6, 1967, in Martinsville, IN to Nora (Short) McCullough. Russ married Patricia 'Patty' (Hastings) Perkins on July 7, 1984.
Russ was a HVAC and electrical engineer for Buchanan Mechanical in Washington. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and family time, especially spending time with his three grandchildren.
Family left to cherish the memory of Russ include: his wife, Patty; three sons, Timothy J. Perkins of Vincennes, Eric D. Perkins of Indianapolis and Gary Eaton of St. James, Mo; three grandchildren, Kayden, Anika and Hadley; four brothers, Kevin Smith of Vincennes, Charlie Perkins of Lake St. Louis, MO, Scott Perkins of Austin, TX and Gary Reynolds of Oklahoma City, OK.
Russ was preceded in death by: his brother, John Perkins; Uncle Frank and Aunt Lavetta Hambrick.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Bryan Sanders officiating. Russ will be laid to rest in Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.
