Ruth Ann Pride, 83, of Odon, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the morning of February 2, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. She was born on October 5, 1935 in Plainville, Indiana to William Christy and Susie (Myers) Christy.

Ruth Ann was a graduate of Plainville High School and a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church. She retired in 2006 from her occupation as a Sales Associate with Wal-Mart.

Family members left behind to cherish her memories include: sons: Tracy (Marcy) Pride of Washington and Troy (the late Cheryl) Pride of Washington; daughters: Christina (Brian Clark) Hume of Jasper, Dee (Dawn Strange) Pride of Batesville, and Twyla (Lisa Patterson) Pride of Odon; grandchildren: Tara (John) Smith, Erica Hume, Adrianne Edwards, Tori and Will Pride; great-grandchildren: Jax, Gunnar, and Hadlee Smith. Ruth is also survived by two sisters: Judy Linthicum of Bloomington and Barbara (Roger) Akester of St. Charles, MO as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Ruth Ann will be held a 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon, IN with Pastor John Christy officiating. Family and friends may call from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Ketcham Memorial Center in memory of Ruth Ann.
