Ruth Pauline Flater, 86, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital. She was born in Sabula, Iowa, on August 31, 1920, to George and Ida (Olson) McGinnis. Ruth married Raymond L. Flater on September 10, 1944. She was a homemaker and attended Glenburn Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, David L. (Marsha) Flater of Linton, six grandchildren: Brad Flater, Lana Barden, Melissa Anderson, Cory, Jill, and Clay Flater, and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Flater.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Flater, and one son, Albert Flater.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, February 19, 2007, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Brother Jerry Carmichael will officiate and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
