Shirley A. Ball, 67, of Linton passed away Saturday, Sept. 23 at Greene County General Hospital. Shirley was born July 22, 1939 in Greene County, and was the daughter of Odus and Martha (Marlow) Wright. On December 8th, 1956, she married Arthur R. "Toad" Ball. She was currently a homemaker having retired in 2004. She previously worked at Keller Aluminum, Sunbeam, and did seasonal work at Pioneer Seed in Worthington. Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Linton.
Survivors include two sons: Odus Ball and TJ (Kay) Ball both of Linton, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two sisters: Betty Payne of Martinsville and Norma Harper of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Arthur "Toad" Ball (March 18, 2006), two sons: Terry and Timothy Ball and four brothers: Jimmy, Chuck, Gene, and Johnny Wright. Warren Shake will officiate with burial following in Lyons at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Greene County General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
