Sonya A. Workman, 64, of Linton, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Greene County General Hospital. She was a life long resident of Linton, born on January 27, 1942. Sonya was the daughter of Rex and Ina (Jeffers) Workman. She had worked at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for 15 years and at 3D (Danner's Discount Department Store) in Linton prior to her employment with the license branch. She retired in 2006. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church.
Sonya was preceded in death by her parents. Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements and graveside rites are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, December 29, 2006, at Dog Island Cemetery in Lyons. Brother Nick Moore will officiate. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to the Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers.
