Stephen J. Petit, 70, of Loogootee, Indiana, passed from this life, on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on December 3, 1954 in Linton, Indiana to Louis J. and Ladonna L. (Goodwin) Petit. Stephen married his loving wife, Lorella D. (McIntosh) Petit on March 13, 2017.

Stephen was employed at Crane as a data/analyst contract specialist, retiring with 40 years of service.

Family left to cherish the memory of Stephen includes: his wife, Lorella Petit; his mother, Ladonna L. Petit of Loogootee; son, Nick Petit of Loogootee; three daughters, Amanda (Tim) Walker of Carmel, Jennifer Strauss of Evansville and Stephanie (Cody) Long of Odon; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and a brother, David (Pam) Petit of Burns City.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Louis J. Petit and brother, Stanley Petit.

A gathering for family and friends will be held at January 15, 2025 between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Stephen through the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
