Thomas A. Thompson, 86, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven with his loving wife by his side, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Thomas was born on March 27, 1935, in Vincennes, Indiana to Thomas Henry and Mary Nancy (Snider) Thompson. Thomas married Elizabeth 'Liz' (Harroll) Thompson on March 3, 1956.
Thomas was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church and was a 50 year member of Linton Civitan Club, where he was past President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, District Governor and International Board Director. He was a Comptroller in Payroll Systems at Crane, retiring in 1994 with 30 years of service. Thomas enjoyed woodworking and restoring his 1940 John Deere tractor.
Family left to cherish the memory of Thomas include: his wife, Liz Thompson; daughter-in-law, Susan Marie Hahn-Thompson; son-in-law, Todd Siebenmorgen; grandchildren, Daniel Bredeweg of California, Rob (Mary) Siebenmorgen and Tom (Taylor) Siebenmorgen, both of Mooreville; great-granddaughter, Elaina Nicole and brother, Guy Ray (Suzi) Thompson of Phoenix, AZ.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and their children, Cara Thompson, Randy Thompson and Kim Siebenmorgen.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Thomas will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 28, and from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Thomas to the Linton Civitan Club Clothe-a-Child or Toys-for-Tots. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
