Obituary

Trevor ‘Tom’ Anderson, 86, of Edwardsport, Indiana, went to Heaven with family by his side, on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on January 6, 1940, in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Trevor Thomas and Florence M. (McCuen) Anderson. Tom married his loving wife, Doris L. (Meyers) Anderson on June 12, 1965.

Tom was a US Army Veteran and attended the Word of Life Church in Bicknell and the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the UAW Local #182. Tom worked in Production at Ford Motor Company, retiring with 31 years of service. After that, he was a minister of the Gospel for 21 ½ years. He loved everybody and always had a word of encouragement and a warm hug. To know him was to know true kindness and compassion. Spreading the love of Jesus to anyone he met was his goal.

Family left to cherish the memories of Tom include his wife, Doris Anderson; son, Thomas Dean (Michelle) Anderson of Vacaville, CA; daughters, Kathryn Marie (Darrell) Julain of Edwardsport and Melissa (Vincent) Winer of St. Louis, MO; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Patricia Colman of Canton, OH.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Sarah Julain.

Funeral services to honor the life of Tom will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Word of Life Church, 7144 N. Russell Drive, Bicknell, IN with Pastor John Moreland officiating. Tom will be laid to rest in Sandborn Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 5 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Word of Life Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church.
