Vera Joan Harroll, of Switz City, Indiana, passed from this life, on March 26, 2026 at The Waters of Huntingburg. She was born on October 23, 1933 in Poland, Indiana to Renos and Ruth (Harris) Rubeck. Joan married Larry Leon Waskom and then after his passing, she met and married Lowell E. ‘Hap’ Harroll.

Joan was a member of the Nazarene Church in Worthington. She worked for several years at S and R Foods in Worthington. Joan was one of the biggest Elvis Presley fans ever and she enjoyed sewing.

Family left to cherish the memory of Joan include: three sons, Larry Joe (Lana) Waskom of Virginia, Richard Alan (Debra) Waskom of Switz City and Charles Renos (Nancy) Waskom of Huntingburg; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and brother, Ron (Cathy) Rubeck of Naples, FL.

Joan was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband, Larry Waskom; second husband, Hap Harroll; son, Gene Waskom; daughter, Lisa Ann Waskom Price and brother, Gene Rubeck.

There will be no public services for Joan. She will be laid to rest in Switz City Cemetery.
