Virgil E. Enochs, 92 of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Benton, Kentucky.
Born Saturday, July 15, 1933, in Greene County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Melvin Enochs and the late Katherine Goodman Enochs. Virgil was a retired Machinist for Borgwerner in Indiana. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #236 in Calvert City, KY.
Surviving are sons; Mark Enochs of Gilbertsville, KY and Christopher Enochs of Davenport, IA; daughter, Joyce Walls of Yulee, FL; sisters, Diane Chambers of Linton, IN, Dorothy Mayfield of Linton, IN and Debbie Newell of Bucknell, IN; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife of 56 years; Dellis Jackson Enochs; daughter, Caroline Bell; brothers, Carl Enochs, Mervin Enochs and Jimmy Enochs; sisters, Darlene Spencer and Donna Enochs; and grandsons; Jeremiah Enochs and Joshua Enochs.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141 . Another visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1 PM at Anderson Poindexter Chapel with military rights provided by the American Legion Post #22 starting at 1 PM. Funeral service for Mr. Enochs will follow at 1:15. Burial will be follow at Fairview Cemetery Linton on Friday, January 2, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, 101 Bullitt Lane Suite 208, Louisville, KY 40222 or to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
