Vonda F. Asdell, 84, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born in Odon on October 8, 1933 to Everett and Ruth (Penrod) Beasley.

Vonda was Vice President of Crane Credit Union for 36 years before retiring. She felt privileged to work at her job because she was able to help so many people. Vonda was a 1951 graduate of Odon High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all her family. To know Vonda was to love her. Her contagious laugh and beautiful smile would light up a room.

Survivors include: one son, Randall (Mary Lee) Asdell of Bloomington; two daughters, Sheryl L. (Mike) Nieman of Janesville, WI and Marsha D. Asdell of Odon; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bowman of Odon and Norma Wilson of Indianapolis.

Vonda was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Donnie Beasley; two sisters, Maisel Hinton and Eva Mae York.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Jim Roach officiating. Vonda will be laid to rest in Scotland Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association, in memory of Vonda. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
