Cletus Gingerich

Cletus Gingerich, 90, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, in Loogootee, Indiana. He was born on August 7, 1930 in Daviess County, Indiana to Henry Gingerich and Tillie (Wagler) Gingerich. Cletus married Fannie (Swartzentruber) Gingerich on March 1, 1952.

Cletus was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. He worked at Odon Milling for several years until his retirement in 1997.

Survivors include: his wife, Fannie; four sons, Don (Cheryl) Gingerich, Terry (Cathy) Gingerich, Wayne Gingerich and Delbert Gingerich (special friend, Emily Sims); two daughters, Betty (Eugene) Wagler and Rita (Ben) Lengacher; one brother, Henry (Martha) Gingerich; two sisters, Leah Wagler and Rose Ann McDermed; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Esther Gingerich.

Cletus was preceded in death by: his parents; five sisters, Viola (George) Lengacher, Marie (Isaac) Stoll, Edith Gingerich, Verda (Anson) Wagler, Sylvia (Paul) Miller; one brother, Amos Jerome Gingerich; two brother-in-laws, Ben Wagler and Ben McDermed.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon with Carmen Detweiler, Simon Knepp, and Melvin Paulus officiating. Cletus will be laid to rest in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Bethel Mennonite Church.
