Darrell W. Meek, 64, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021. He was born on April 30, 1956 in Washington, Indiana to Aden and Phyllis (Myers) Meek.
Darrell was a life-long resident of Daviess County. He was a farmer and enjoyed raising and breeding cattle. He ran a business hauling livestock for area farmers for many years. Darrell worked several years on the farm for Marvin and Ruth Jolliff. Darrell maintained a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and worked in the trucking business for much of his life. He had driven a truck for Miles Farm Supply, a propane truck and most recently a dump truck for Mullins Supply.
Gardening was a passion for Darrell. He enjoyed growing and experimenting with various types of produce, especially tomatoes, and advising and encouraging others to garden.
Family left to cherish the memory of Darrell include: three sisters, Adena Millsap of Gastonia, NC, Donna (Michael) Welden of Evansville and Teressa (Russell) Fields of Bedford; one brother, Larry (Vicki) Meek of Odon; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Carl Millsap.
There will be no visitation or services held.
