Donald E. McElravy

Donald McElravy, 85, of Odon, Indiana, passed away with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Bloomington, Indiana. He was born on September 3, 1934 in Daviess County, Indiana to Miles M. and Neenah S. (Bailey) McElravy. Don married his loving wife, Lela P. (Core) McElravy on November 11, 1955. 

Don was a member of the International Brotherhood of Operating Engineers (IBOE). He retired in 1996 from Rogers Group as a Heavy Equipment Shop Manager with 32 years of service. Don enjoyed the hobbies of fishing, hunting, gardening,RVing and woodworking.

Family left to cherish the memory of Don include: his wife, Lela McElravy; son, Jeff (Melonie) McElravy of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter, Karla Beasley of Odon; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon McElravy of Sandborn, Darrell (Nancy) McElravy of Avon and sister, Louise Nebergall of Bloomington.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services to honor the life of Don will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Kenny Hudson and David Moore officiating. Don will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 12 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
