Donna Elaine (Shake) Moffett

Donna Elaine Moffett, 71, of Bloomfield, Indiana, went to Heaven, with loved ones by her side, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born on December 10, 1951 in Washington, Indiana to Don Ray Shake and Lucille Grace (Foster) Ronk.

Elaine was of the Christian faith. She was a mother and homemaker who loved spending time with her family and taking care of them.  

Family left to cherish the memory of Elaine include: one daughter, Krisi (Chuck) Clayton of Linton; one son, Donnie (Janine Topp) Lechien of LaPorte; eight grandchildren, Chelsea (Tim) Farris, Kristopher (Ellery) Rogers, Katie, Kaylie, Kimberly, Kellie, Dylan and Daniel Flynn; great-grandchildren, Ella and Reid Farris; sisters, Barb (Dwayne) Verseman of Worthington and Carolyn Sheetz of Washington; brothers, Mike (Kathy) Shake of Georgetown, IL and Ron (Sheryl) Shake of Vancouver, WA and great aunt, Grace (Shake) Carrico. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by: her parents; the love of her life, Forest Dale Lechien; son, Steven Flynn; brother, David Shake and her love, Lucy (her mini-pin).

Funeral services to honor the life of Elaine will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Archie Ellett officiating. Elaine will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
