Ervin W. 'Wayne' Grabbe

Ervin W. ‘Wayne’ Grabbe, 87, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. He was born on July 15, 1932 in Freelandville, Indiana to Lawrence and Lena (Rinsch) Grabbe. Wayne married Shirley ‘Jeanne’ (Hancock) Grabbe on December 7, 1955.

Wayne was a US Army veteran and was stationed at Arlington, VA. He was a member of the Shelburn American Legion and the Riverview Club. Wayne was a maintenance supervisor for American Electric Power Co., Breed Station in Fairbanks, Indiana.

Family left to cherish the memory of Wayne include: one daughter, Sharon K. (Jay) Moore of Odon and daughter-in-law, Roxann Grabbe of Fairbanks.

Wayne was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Jeanne Grabbe; son, Michael Wayne Grabbe; two brothers and two sisters.

A funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Wayne will be laid to rest in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ketcham Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
