Gladys Juanita (Myers) Paulus

Gladys Juanita Paulus, 90, of Odon, Indiana went to Heaven with her loving family by her side, on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was born on April 19, 1930 in Inman, Kansas to Ralph E. and Mildred (Hartzler) Myers. Gladys married her loving husband of 66 years, Melvin Paulus, on August 22, 1954.

Gladys was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church. Her home, husband and family were her life and she enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of them.

Family left to cherish the memory of Gladys include: her husband, Melvin Paulus of Odon; six daughters, Anita (Brent) Stubbs of Hydro, OK, Letha (Jeff) Stoll of Plainville, IN, Ellen (Eldon) Shantz of Thomas, OK, Stella (Duey) Matthews of Pryor, OK, Raylene (Bob) Swartzentruber and Lavone (Mike) Miller, both of Odon; twenty-four grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Myers, Jr. of Oregon; three sisters, Hazel Steckly of Canada, Roberta Slagell of Oklahoma and Velma Ropp of Oregon.

Gladys was preceded in death by: her parents; one grandchild, Titus Miller and great-grandson, Bennet Miller.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon with Carmen Detweiler, Lonnie Raber and Simon Knepp officiating. Gladys will be laid to rest in Bethel Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM until 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 25 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the church.

Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Mennonite Church or to the Gideons. Envelopes will be available at the church.
