Helen W. (Taylor) White

Helen White, 92, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on September 12, 2023, at Parkview Christian Care in Odon. She was born on July 19, 1931, in Odon, Indiana to R. Edward and Ethel (Myers) Taylor. Helen married her 1st husband, John Hunter, Jr. on April 1, 1953 and her 2nd husband Henderson Jr. White, on September 16, 1977.

Helen worked at RCA in Bloomington IN. She retired in 1990 after 35 years of service.

Helen was a member of the Elnora Christian Church, Elnora United Methodist Church, Elnora American Legion Post #245 Ladies Aux, I00F Lodge 319, Odon VFW Post #9627 Ladies Aux, Rebecca Lodge, Royal Neighbors of America.

The family left to cherish the memories of Helen include step-daughters; Vicki Byrd of Kentucky, Kathy Roberts and Sheila Lutz both of Portage Indiana; Step-Son, Steve White of Tennyson; also survived by several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers Dwight and Charles Taylor and two sisters Dorothy Taylor and Hazel Stanczak.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olive and Elnora Fairview Cemeteries.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 on Friday September 15, 2023, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Dan Emmons officiating. Helen will be laid to rest in Elnora Fairview Cemetery in Elnora. Prior to the service, the Odon VFW Auxiliary will hold a service.
