Herald J Stuffle

Herald J. Stuffle, 85, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away with wife by his side, at his residence on Saturday, September 19, 2020.  He was born on May 11, 1935 in Daviess County, Indiana to Herald and Lula (Dowden) Stuffle.  Herald married Teresa (Elshoff) on February 14, 1999.

Herald was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.  He was a member of ISTA, White River Valley Antique Tractor Association.  Herald worked as an educator with 38 years of service at Southwest Sullivan Schools. After he retired in 1994 he worked at Southern Indiana Education Center. He enjoyed time on his antique tractor and enjoyed carpentry.

Family left to cherish the memory of Herald include: his wife, Teresa; three sons, Larry (Patti) Stuffle of Avon, David S. (Theresa) Stuffle of Loogootee, Richard Stuffle of Plainfield; two step-sons, Nicholas Merrimon of Huntingburg, Benjamin Wagner of Jasper; stepdaughter, Amy Betz of St. Anthony, Indiana; eight grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter; and sister, Betty Mae Beasley of Raglesville.

Herald was preceded in death by: his parents and stepson Heath Merrimon,

Funeral services to honor the life of Herald will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Ken Fuller officiating. Herald will be laid to rest in Raglesville Cemetery in Raglesville.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Raglesville United Methodist Church in memory of Herald.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.
