Joel Stoll Obituary

Joel E. Stoll, 82, of Odon, Indiana, went to be with the Lord at 2:03 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home. He was born on August 2, 1937 to Benjamin and Fannie (Graber) Stoll in Daviess County, Indiana. Joel married Eva (Graber) Stoll on January 24, 1958.

Joel was a member of Providence Mennonite Church. He was an owner of Farmers Fertilizer & Seed Co. until its sale several years ago. He was a small farmer until his move to the town of Odon. In his later years, he loved providing a taxi service to the Amish people. Joel liked nothing better than getting in his garden. Just last week, he got to plant a row of onions.

Joel treasured his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed his time with relatives and all the many friends he made through his fertilizer business and taxi service. He seemed to know everyone.

Joel is survived by: his loving wife, Eva Stoll; daughter, Pam (Darryl) Harris of Odon; son, Randall (Kay) Stoll of Washington; daughter-in-law, Regina (Nichols) Stoll of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Hank (Mary) Stoll and Ben (Patty) Stoll, both of Sarasota, FL and Sam (Ann) Stoll of Washington; sister, Rosa Gingerich of Odon; grandchildren, Tyler Stoll (soon to be wife, Katlin Schultz) of Washington, Audrey (Caleb) Bullock of Clarksville, TN and Kristen (Jimmy) Mitchell of Fishers, IN; great-grandchildren, Briley and Annabelle Bullock of Clarksville, TN and Oliver and Elliot Mitchell of Fishers, IN and many other relatives.

Preceding Joel in death was: his parents, Benjamin and Fannie Stoll; step-mother, Mabel Stoll; one son, Robert Allen Stoll; father and mother in-law, Henry and Louise Graber.

A private family graveside service (to comply with current social restrictions) was held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Providence Mennonite Church Cemetery in Montgomery with Kevin Swartzentruber officiating. The graveside service was streamed live at http://inhisprovidence.com/.

The family will do a memorial in remembrance of Joel at Parkview Village Christian Care and have requested that contributions be made to them online at https://parkview-village.org/donate-2/ or mailed to 800 S. West St., Odon, IN 47562.
