Julia A. (Brown) Beasley

Julia A. Beasley, 97, passed from this life peacefully with family by her side, at Villages of Oak Ridge in Washington, Indiana, on Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was born on January 3, 1925, in Elnora, Indiana, to James A. and Helen (Long) Brown. Julia married Robert W. Beasley on September 23, 1945.

Julia was a member of the Elnora United Methodist Church, Triad Singing Group, Charter Member of Washington Art League and Northwest Territory Art Guild. She was employed as a Fiscal Accountant at Crane for many years. 

Family left to cherish Julia’s memory include her daughters, Janet (Samuel) Brock of San Antonio, TX, and Karen (Kenny) Ferguson of Oakland City, IN; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a great great-grandson; and a sister, Beverly Schuckman of Freelandville, IN.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and brothers, James and Richard Brown and two half-sisters Sandra Van Deventer and Mary Brown.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM EST on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Pastor Debbie Payne officiating. Julia will be laid to rest next to her husband Robert in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM EST on Thursday.
