Lonnie D. Green

Lonnie David Green, 70, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born on July 8, 1950 in Washington, Indiana to Ira Dale and Eva (Martindale) Green. Lonnie married his loving wife, Mary Ann (Strange) Green on July 11, 1998.

Lonnie was a farmer, working for the county and at Hoeffling International, before retiring from North Daviess Schools.

Family left to cherish the memory of Lonnie include: his wife, Mary Ann Green; three daughters, Jamie (Darrell) Wagler, Cheryl (Jerry) Haney and Linda (Rodney) Potts; five grandchildren, Isaac, D.J., Tyler, Brayton, and Kaylee; five great-grandchildren, Lily, Dempson, Gretchen, Grayden, Adaline; brother, Steve (Sharon) Green; nephew, Scott Green and niece, Stefanie Conley.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating. Lonnie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lonnie to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
