Marian J (Strange) Osborn

Marian J. (Strange) Osborn, 88, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Ketcham Memorial in Odon, Indiana. She was born on February 16, 1932 in Plainville, Indiana to Roy and Ruth (Standiford) Strange. She was married to the love of her life, Ben Osborn on May 8, 1953.

Marian was a member of the Odon First Christian Church and the White River Valley Antique Association. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, also riding in their covered wagon and stagecoach.

Survivors include: two daughters, Lynna (Dr. Steve) Lynn of Martinsville and Jeanna (Gary) Burkhart of Elnora; grandchildren, Dr. Bryce (Betsy) Lynn, Brittany Lynn, Kasey Burkhart and Kensay (Doug) Mott; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Drake, Kamden and Reece.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben and their son, Brad; two brothers, Gerald Strange and Gordon Strange and sister Margie Ooley.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Richard Smith and Ron Gee officiating. Marian will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Odon First Christian Church Building Fund or the “Gardens of Ketcham” at Ketcham Memorial. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
