Marjorie Ann (Scott) Cox

Marjorie A. (Scott) Cox, 81, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on April 12, 1940 in Washington, Indiana to Herbert and Delores (Clark) Scott. Margie married David Cox on June 15, 1958 and they were married for 62 years before his passing.

Margie was a member of the Independent Social Club in Odon and a past member of the First Christian Church of Odon. She was also a past matron of Eastern Star in Odon. Before she retired, Margie worked as the court reporter for the Circuit Court of Daviess County. Margie, at one time, was the president of the Republican Women of Daviess County. She loved music and loved to dance. Margie and Dave also enjoyed to travel and riding their motorcycle. Margie believed in living life to the fullest, she will be missed by many.

Margie leaves behind one daughter, Terri Cox (Marty); one son, Scott (Cheryl) Cox; grandson, Franklin Gage Cox; granddaughter, Danielle Rae Cox; great-grandson, Solaris Stone; two sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Bratton and Nancy Beckes (Donna).

Preceding Margie in death are: her parents; her husband, David Cox; brother, Clark (Cynthia) Scott and nephew, Ron Bratton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Marshall Bratton officiating. Margie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star service on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
