Marvin Burch Obituary

Marvin (Bud) Burch of Odon, Indiana passed into his Lord’s arms on April 25, 2020.  He was born on October 12, 1929 in Daviess County Indiana to Emo and Jennie (Ketchem) Burch.  He was married to Wilma (Gee) on May 5, 1950.

Family members left to cherish Bud include: His wife, Wilma of nearly 70 years; one son, Mike Burch and his wife Becky (Mayhugh) of Odon; one daughter, Peggy Humerickhouse and her husband Rick of Santa Claus, Indiana; four grandchildren, Melaine (Humerickhouse) Jones,  Angel (Burch) Tarvin, Marc Humerickhouse, and Holly (Burch) George; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Bud was preceded in death by: two twin sons, Lowell Dean and Marvin Eugene; his parents; two brothers, John and Kenny Burch; four sisters, Wanita (Long), Mary (Swayze), Ruth (Chestnut), and Dorothy (Sipes-Fluke).

Bud was a self-employed truck driver for nearly 25 years, then later drove for Farm Bureau, and for Perdue Farms at the time of his retirement.  He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Washington and a fifty year member of the United Commercial Travelers (UCT).  Bud enjoyed family, driving a truck, bowling, and country music.

A private graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Washington. Due to current health concerns, a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
