Myrtle E. Byrer

Myrtle E. Byrer, 95, of, Odon, Indiana, peacefully passed from this life on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. She was born on August 22, 1925 in Wayne County, Kentucky to Willie and Sarah (Neely) Jones. Myrtle married the love of her life, Rex Byrer on May 27, 1950.

Myrtle was a member of the Odon Christian Church. She worked at Crane for many years before retiring in 1986.

Family left to cherish the memory of Myrtle include: one son, Mark (Tammy) Byrer of Washington; one daughter, Patti Wildman (special friend, John O’Conner) of Loogootee; daughter-in-law, Janet Byrer of Avon, eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Imogene (Joe) Burcham of Bloomfield.

Myrtle was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Rex Byrer; son, Bobby Joe Byrer; five sisters and three brothers.

Private family funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Myrtle will be laid to rest beside her husband at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending. Additional regulations are allowing only twenty-five (25) individuals in the funeral home at one time.
