Rachel L. (Callahan) Archer

Rachel L. (Callahan) Archer, 43, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. She was born on September 23, 1976 in Linton, Indiana to Richard Eugene and Eva E. ‘Betty’ Callahan.

Rachel attended Pleasant Hill Church as a child and Elnora Christian Church during her teen years. She was employed as a seamstress at NASCO Industries in Washington.

Family left to cherish the memory of Rachel include: one son, Deion Archer; one daughter, Demi Archer; her mother, Betty Callahan; special friend, Glenn Davers of Washington; two brothers, Randy Callahan and David Callahan, both of Odon; one sister, Roberta (Mark) Richey of Elnora; two brothers-in-law, Roger Cochrane of Bloomfield and David Freed of Odon; several nieces and nephews.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Richard Callahan and two sisters, Vivian Cochrane and Vera Freed.

Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Bro. James Richey officiating. Rachel will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon. 

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 9 and from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
