Rita A (Wilber) Chestnut

Rita Annette (Wilber) Chestnut, 63, of Vincennes, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.  She was born on May 28, 1957 in Washington, IN to Ollice Wilber and Barbara (Wadsworth) Evans.  Rita married Rodger Chestnut on December 30, 1985.

Rita was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Lawrenceville, IL.  She enjoyed serving God and others. Rita loved music, carving, painting, and family.

Family left to cherish the memory of Rita include: her husband, Rodger: one son, Joe (Leigh) Padgett, two daughters Micah (Michael) Chestnut, Sara Scott; nine grandchildren; one brother, Jack Wilber; five sisters, Gloria Ballard, Kathy Morris, Cheryl Wilber, Rhonda Beal and Vicki  Castleberry.

Rita was preceded in death by: her parents and sisters, Linda Rollins and Sharon Wilber.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at First Pentecostal Church of Odon with Rev. David Brock and Cody Kennedy officiating.  Rita will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Meng Family Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.

Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.
