Robert Earl 'Bob' Boardman

Robert Earl Boardman, 91, of, Elnora, Indiana, peacefully went to Heaven, with his wife by his side, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Loogootee Nursing Center. He was born on June 25, 1929 in Vincennes, Indiana to Fred and Alegra (Mallett) Mallorey Boardman. Bob married Patty (Smith) Boardman and after her passing, he married Phyllis (Tungate) Boardman.

Bob was a US Army World War II Veteran.  He was a member of the Elnora Christian Church and the Odon American Legion Post #293. Bob was retired from Crane NWSC with 41 years of service.

Family left to cherish the memory of Bob include: his wife, Phyllis Boardman; two sons, Bobby (Leslie) Boardman of Odon and Rick (Karen) Boardman of Enid, OK; two step-grandchildren, Melissa Webster of Odon, and Brandi Blosl of Evansville and five great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Patty Boardman and one sister, Marjorie Booker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Jim Pieper officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Sugarland Cemetery Mausoleum following military graveside rites by the Odon VFW Post #9627.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 1 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
