Robert W. 'Bob' Orr

Robert W. ‘Bob’ Orr, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away with loved ones at his side, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Washington, Indiana. He was born on September 11, 1935 in Daviess County, Indiana to A. Milton and Lena A. (Manning) Orr. Bob married the love of his life, Beverly (Booth) Orr on May 15, 1965.

Bob was a US Navy veteran and a member of the Elnora United Methodist Church and Elnora Masonic Lodge #616 F&AM. He was an auto mechanic at Daffron’s Garage in Elnora, retiring with 30 years of service. Bob was also a farmer and owned an oil delivery business, serving the local area.

Family left to cherish the memory of Bob include: one son, William R. ‘Bill’ Orr of Cincinnati, OH; one granddaughter, Claudia Mae Beverly Orr; two sisters, Rebecca Davenport of Greenwood and Nancy Kahn of Indianapolis; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Beverly Orr; three sisters, Joanna Stewart, Olive Townsend and Sally Orr.

The Elnora Masonic Lodge #616 F&AM will hold a Masonic Memorial Service at 3:30 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Elnora Methodist Church, followed by a funeral service with Rev. Paul Huntsman officiating. Bob will be laid to rest in Elnora Fairview Cemetery, following military graveside rites by the Odon VFW Post #9627 and Elnora American Legion Post #245.  

Family and friends may call from 3:00 PM until the time of service at 3:30 PM on Saturday at the church.
