Vera B. (Callahan) Freed

Vera B. Freed, 59, of Odon, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home, on Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was born on July 9, 1960 in Greene County, Indiana to Richard and Elizabeth (Ziegler) Callahan. Vera married the love of her life, David A. Freed, on April 24, 1982.

Vera was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church. She was a homemaker, dedicated to taking care of her husband, children and home.

Family left to cherish the memory of Vera includes: her husband, Dave Freed; one son, Jim (Renee) Freed; one daughter, Sara Freed, all of Odon; four grandchildren; her mother, Elizabeth Callahan; two brothers, David Callahan and Randy Callahan, both of Odon; two sisters, Rachael Archer of Washington and Roberta (Mark) Ritchey of Elnora.

Vera was preceded in death by her father, Richard Callahan and one sister, Vivian Cochrane.

Vera will be laid to rest in a private family service at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
