William "Junior" Rhoton

William “Junior” Rhoton, 75, of Odon, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. He was born on January 26, 1944 in Clinchport, Virginia to William and Ada Mae (Frasier) Rhoton. He married Pamela R. Cappoli on July 18, 1969 in Kokomo, IN.  

Junior became a resident of Odon in August of 1980. He retired after 44 years of service as a supervisor with Star Glove Company. Junior was a lifetime Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, he enjoyed ginseng hunting, fishing, and watching softball at the Odon Park. Junior most especially cherished time with his children and grandchildren.

Family members left to cherish Junior’s memory include: his loving wife of 50 years, Pam; their two sons, Larry Wade Rhoton and Anthony Warren (Mindy) Rhoton; one daughter, Mary Denise (Mark) Wittmer; nine grandchildren, Haley and Addison Wittmer, Kristen and Tristen Rhoton, Sierra and Shawn Rhoton, Kendra (Brandon) Childers, Jasmine Sinks, and Ryder Howard; brother, Larry (Phyllis) Rhoton; sister, Lorretta Stiner (Dave Morgan); brother in laws, Ken Kirby and Ed Pier; and sister in laws, Patricia Rogers and Susie (Don) Baker.

Junior was preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Thomas William “Willie” Rhoton; sisters, Margaret Lane, Jerri Thompson, Lou Pier, and Brenda Kirby.

A Funeral Service honoring Junior’s life will be held at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon on Monday December 30, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Keith Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon. Family and friends may call on Sunday December 29, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Monday at the funeral home.

The Rhoton family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The Gardens of Ketcham in memory of Junior.
